We got a couple Geauxsicles tonight at the (relatively) new gourmet popsicle shop on the corner of Ockley and Youree Drive here in Shreveport. He got a regular ol’ chocolate, and I got lemon and it was SO GOOD. All fresh ingredients, made daily in the shop. Example, mine was made with real lemon, including zest, and it was just a breath of fresh air.

Now I’m sorry I didn’t try it sooner! A half hour later and he says “Let’s go get five more geauxsicles.”

I mean, the service was great, so helpful, and the decor is very nice, modern, but still welcoming. The popsicle itself is flat out pretty. The price is the only thing I didn’t like about the place. But I know that this summer I’ll be spending my money on one at least once a week! I don’t mind paying above average if it’s a great product.

It just makes me happy to see great new things sprouting up!! Yay Shreveport!

Lunch for one. Multigrain flat bun, toasted in the oven with butter and fancy smoked swiss cheese, fried egg, grilled onions, and tomato, with salt, pepper, cayenne, and garlic. SO SO GOOD.
